Be the Change Series

In this 7-week talk series Rev. Lisa Davis will be discussing ways we, as individuals, can affect positive change in our world. This series is inspired by Mohandas Gandhi and other peace leaders from around the world.

This series will draw from the book: Gandhi the Man by Eknath Easwaran, which is available in the Bookstore.

This series is part of how Unity of Portland is participating in the Gandhi-King-Gyatso Season for Peace and Nonviolence.

The Gandhi-King-Gyatso Season for Peace and Nonviolence is an international, educational, media and grassroots campaign dedicated to promoting nonviolence as a powerful way to heal, transform and empower our lives and our communities. The Season for Nonviolence began in 1998, inspired by the 50th and 30th memorial anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This international movement strives to honor the vision of these great peacemakers through action and education.

Please join us for:
  • The Be the Change Series: Jan. 29th-Mar. 12th based on the book Gandhi the Man by Eknath Easwaran
  • A HeartMath Workshop with Bonnie Peterson: Mar. 12th
  • A Forgiveness Workshop with Ester Nicholson: Mar.26th
